a year here

I wrote my first post almost a year ago. It took a while to find my voice, but I think I've accomplished that pretty well. My posts are starting to feel a little stale though. I want to keep them relevant to the store, a subject that can seem very narrow, but could go broad and deep, encompassing books, nature, art, design, economics... Should I throw more of that into the mix or do I keep it as it has evolved--auction finds, pictures of the store, random somewhat (sometimes barely) relevant musings?

The most unexpected, and best part of this blog is the wonderful friends I've made from all over the U.S. and around the world--Japan, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, England and more. Thank you.

xo,

Jen

  1. Dear Jen! congratulations : )
Sometimes blogs simply evolve. Like people do. I like your and I find it very interesting to read about the wonderful things you have in your shop. How you find them. What they make you feel. And of course the books. I like reading about books : )

So go on your own way my friend! It's a good way : )

  3. Well done, Jen, on nearly reaching the year. I often like the "random somewhat (sometimes barely) relevant musings" best of all, and hope I may count myself among your new friends online.

  4. I enjoy your posts. I like getting to know you and feeling like I have been to your store even though I can't actually get there. I love how your auction finds and pictures remind me of my dad. I can't wait to see what you post next!

Thanks for visiting my blog too. your the sweetest, nicest blogger I know. I will keep following and reading what ever you choose to write and post photos about. I do think your travels are interesting and your store is too. I love to see your treasures that you find at auctions.

  7. We began blogging at about the same time. For me it'll be a year next month. I love hearing about the store, but I also like hearing what you think on other issues and so feel like books, nature, art, design, and economics would be fun to read about here also.
