charming houses, secret gardens

Provincetown is filled with pretty gardens and houses.

See the bird at the birdhouse?

Houses on alleys and paths

and behind other houses.

I'm sort of stunned at how much I loved Provincetown.

  1. Lovely photos. I'm really taken with the slate walkway. Jay is laying a front walk with rocks from our land, but finding really flat rocks is almost impossible. It will probably trip and kill me when I'm old.

    1. I love slate. I considered it for our kitchen counters.

Some of our sidewalks are buckled up from tree roots, and I often feel safer walking in the street.

  3. People also seem to eke out the most beautiful of gardens in the smallest of spaces. I never really noticed the cottage with the lattice roof before. That's very cool!

    1. The only time I'd been before was height of summer for a few hours and I got no feel for it at all. Definitely avoid summer weekends!
