snow day

Blizzard on the way. Turkey and sweet potatoes in the oven.
Books, candles, and chocolate handy.
Anticipation and quiet.

    1. Love the image of fairies with snow shovels. I can't complain--this winter and last have been so mild compared to other years.

  8. Jen... My husband said this morning that I should be happy not to be in Boston today... my reply, even with a blizzard, I'd like to be in Boston! We are sending you warm thoughts and good wishes from South Georgia.. stay safe, turkey and sweet potatoes yum-yum, cuddle with the kitties, read a good book or two, and definitely enjoy the chocolate! Warmer days are coming!

    1. Blizzards are fun, if you can stay home. I don't even mind shoveling.

  9. Hello Jen, It sounds like you'll be quite cozy. Blizzards are only bad if you have to go out in them. They do have a way of disconnecting you from the world, which can be enjoyable, at least for a while.

  11. I've been thinking about you as I watch the weather on TV. Said to Jay, "I have my own weather person -- Jen. She'll let us know how it is." So, keep us posted. The kitten is growing fast.

  12. Recently I share my time for reading more than before, maybe under your influence. When I'm alone I read out... and it makes me have mind of constancy.

  13. Hope you made out OK. We woke up to a foot (of snow) so in these parts the description of the biggest storm EVER was greatly exagerated. I know Mass. got the brunt of it though. Dinner and kittens should make it all better.

    1. When they tell you to expect 6-8" a foot seems like a lot. When they say you'll get 18" a foot doesn't seem like a lot. But it is!
