Spring was late this year, but I've been savoring it.
My Massachusetts yard has become a rabbit refuge.
Yesterday two of them were playing leapfrog.
Who says dandelions are weeds?
The wildflowers in the Catskills are enchanting.
I haven't gotten up there as much as I'd like, but will make up for it this summer.
I'm really into blue flowers right now, and purply blues,
I need to plant some delphiniums.
Another picture from the wedding. The bride and bridesmaids
leaving her family apartment.
Below are their bouquets.
Flowers and ceremony decor were done by Fleurish NYC,
and they did a great job.
My peonies haven't bloomed yet.
They remind me of globes--
green land, pink sea.
Jen, lovely photos as always. The bride looked so beautiful and I loved those flower bouquets.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to plant some delphiniums as they are beautiful but make sure you keep the pesky snails and slugs away, they have made a real meal of some of mine!
That must be so frustrating!
DeleteHello Jen, A nice potpourri of photographs. I really do miss the delights of simple wildflowers like these.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Hi Jim--I am look forward to getting deeper into wildflowers this summer.
DeleteHello Jen
ReplyDeleteYour peonies are beautiful, I love their perfume. How happy the bride and family look, I wonder what the joke was? The coloured shoes on the bridesmaids really make a statement
Helen
Hi Helen--the shoes were a fun touch!
DeleteHow delightful...bouncing bunnies and promises of peonies! Beautiful bride enjoying her day!
ReplyDeleteLife is good, Susan. I'm savoring the moments.
DeleteQuite lovely, all of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel.
Deletegreen land, pink sea.....I love that.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah.
DeleteMmm. That's an interesting concept of a peony bud. I'll be looking at mine in a different way now.
ReplyDeleteI think it's the shapes of the green--made me think of pictures of earth from space.
DeleteWish I had bunnies hopping around in my back yard - but then 'somebody' would be chasing them, so best not!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter-in-law looks radiantly happy and her flowers are beautiful. My peonies are almost bloomed out!
Now that I have indoor cats the backyard wildlife situation has exploded. Strange about peonies as we're only a few miles apart.
DeleteLovely, all of it. Especially love the image of the peony bud as green land, pink sea - original and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMary
Thanks, Mary.
Deletebeautiful. I'm still trying to catch up on what happened in the blogosphere in the last few weeks and just realized that I kind of missed the wedding...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Petra. Happy June!
DeleteWhat a sweet post. The two photos I like the best are: the bride (she looks gorgeous and so happy) and your "globe" (what a creative way to see a peony bud!).
ReplyDeleteI love those two also.
DeleteI want to sink my teeth right into the bridesmaid bouquet.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should go have some dinner...frijoles?
x J

Dandelions are most definitely not weeds. Hope you are enjoying summer - we're gearing up for a hot one down in the Bayou State. xo
ReplyDeleteI love bunnies, we used to get a lot but haven't seen many this year. I think their afraid of Max :) Your wedding pictures came out beautiful.
