When I studied art in college we had to paint big.
Now I want to paint small.
For now, quick sketches.
Why do I want to paint something as vast as the sea small as a paperback?
It's all an excuse to mix colors.
I imagine gardens and oceans,
succinct as haiku.
You know, I am so envious of people who can paint. I imagine it to be such a relaxing pastime. I love the colours you are using. M x
ReplyDeleteIt truly is relaxing. At least the way I'm approaching it, which is not seriously.
DeleteNice colors, soothing. Small is harder, little details.
ReplyDeleteI just want to fall into the colors. You're right about the details.
DeleteJoe is a fan of your blog, just so you know. Me too. I used the last flowers of Manet paintings you posted as inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice. Hi Joe! I love those Manet paintings too.
