sketching

When I studied art in college we had to paint big.
Now I want to paint small.
For now, quick sketches.
Why do I want to paint something as vast as the sea small as a paperback?

It's all an excuse to mix colors.

I imagine gardens and oceans,

 succinct as haiku.

  1. You know, I am so envious of people who can paint. I imagine it to be such a relaxing pastime. I love the colours you are using. M x

    1. It truly is relaxing. At least the way I'm approaching it, which is not seriously.

  2. Nice colors, soothing. Small is harder, little details.

    1. I just want to fall into the colors. You're right about the details.

  3. Joe is a fan of your blog, just so you know. Me too. I used the last flowers of Manet paintings you posted as inspiration.
