The perfect place for a little retreat.

    1. Just me, when I went. It's a really good used books store. There's also a good indie new books store.

  11. Looks like you savor every moment of it. It's so good of you to have found this kind of getaway! I wonder why the statue of Buddha is sitting there, though.

    1. It's a garden decoration. There are a lot of Buddha's in U.S. gardens. Does that seem strange?

    2. Oh, really! I didn't know that. Somehow I had a stereotyipical idea that Buddha's is mostly found in Asian countries:)

  13. I love little used bookstores like this. I say "little" because of course we have Powell's here but it is way too huge for me, and too many people.

    1. Does Powell's have used books? Portland seem like the kind of place that would ahve a good used books store.

  16. Jen,
gorgeous photos! In April, I flew to Boston and met my sister from CA, we then drove to Cape Cod, made it all the way to Provincetown! It was so beautiful! Then we took our time and headed up the coast and ended in Bar Harbor Maine. It and Portsmouth NH were our favorites but it was all beautiful! It was my dream trip! You're so lucky you get to live there!
