Aji and garden flowers.
Hello Friends, I've been quiet, feeling like I either have nothing new to say here, or too much. I can't find the medium. It will come, or maybe not. But I love this place, and my connection to you, and can't stay away for too long. A few pictures from my summer. I hope all is well with you. xo, Jennifer

Ditto. I know exactly what you mean. Beautiful pics, all of them but you know the Brooklyn dog brought the biggest smile. Hope you are enjoying this quite beautiful Summer we are having, for once I really hate to see it go.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the dogs splashing (there were a few) was such fun. In the morning it was dogs, and in the afternoon, kids. It really has been a nice summer!
DeleteThe photo of Aji is wonderful - should be framed and mounted. I bet all that snow you had has evaporated from your memory. We are inundated with smoke from forest fires miles away. Makes the day gloomy. So dry and brown, anyway, not much to admire.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Aji makes it easy. I would say I've blocked out the snow, but it hasn't evaporated. I've been reading about all the fires---scary stuff. I'm sorry it's affecting you. My stepsister used to be a fire lookout, and I've read a few memoirs of wildfire fighters. Hey, have you read anything by Ivan Doig? You might like his work. I recommend the Bartender's Tale, and am starting his Montana trilogy.
Deletezzzzzzzzzzzzz. it's summertime.
ReplyDelete:-) zzzzzzzzzzz indeed!
DeleteAji and the flowers is a great photo - I'd frame it. Oh, someone already said that. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't come around blogger much any more but when I do check in I'm always happy to see you here.
I don't know why but starting to blog again just feels so heavy. I've been considering it though. I need a muse.
Ruby Jack--I am always so happy when you pop in! Hope you do blog again--I miss you.
DeleteHello Jennifer, It seems to be one of those summers--lots to do and see, but no particular focus. I fell like my summer just ended early, because today I got back from Ohio to Taiwan, where it is hot and rainy (although I just missed a huge typhoon that swept over the island).
ReplyDelete--Jim
Hi Jim--Hope you enjoyed Ohio and I'm glad you missed the typhoon. I can't imagine what that would be like!
DeleteHow cool the first photo is! High buildings are in silence and plants in a pond look sleepy in silence. You have held the harmonized beauty of the modern city.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Central Park is a wonder!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are having a wonderful summer Jen! Enjoy your free time from the computer and come back whenever you are ready!

Thanks so much, Madelief. I've been enjoying your summer adventures, via Instagram!
DeleteWhat wonderful photos, Jen. That Rothko painting just seems to be floating in space and the wild raspberry looks so homey & inviting in that down to earth Upstate NY way. (Makes me nostalgic for our childhood Summers in the Foothills of the Kaaterskills)
ReplyDeleteWe are in Rudbeckialand here now, moving into Chrysanthemum time as our hot and sometimes rainy Summer moves on apace. Thank you for sharing these lovely photos with us. And please do keep on doing both blogs; they're so welcome & appreciated.

Hi DIane,
DeleteI've seen the chrysanthemums at the store, but I'm not quite ready for that yet! Thanks for your encouragement.
