zen kitty

(I won't complain, I won't complain, I won't complain...)

So what if it's cold and windy and my yard is still snow-covered?

(and all the other blog kitties are showing off their homegrown daffodils)

                                                                  I will read zen poetry,

meditate,

and savor flowers from distant lands.

Or maybe I'll just watch Maru the Cat videos.

  1. This was just too very funny! Especially the thin box.

  2. Oh, this was precious! I'm convinced, if you want to be happy, you must own a cat.

    Happy Weekend!!!

  3. Jay and I watched most of the Maru videos. What an entertaining cat. Mine mostly sleep. Yours smell flowers.

  4. Hello Jen, The technical opening of spring may not coincide with beautiful weather in temperate areas, but at least one can officially start to anticipate the traditional delights of the season. Besides, the ideal maple sugaring weather depends on the slow onset of springlike warmth and sun.

    1. I like your glass half full approach. Honestly? I really don't mind--as long as spring comes sometime this year.

  7. I forgot about Maru and just watched about 1/2 hour worth of videos. He's so cute. But I have yet to see him taking time to smell the flowers like your little one does.

Praying we don't get this storm they're talking about next week.

  9. We too wait for spring. And I'm pretty sure i live in the south.....way south of you anyway.

A gray Sunday morning with a chance of snow on Tuesday.

I don't know if I can do it.

    Maybe I'll go shopping.....

I have always love Maru and have to marvel at how clean the floors are in his house.

Why I'll never show a video of my cats.

  10. I saw a tiny crocus this morning, I almost cried. Cats and boxes are hysterical, mine used to try and get into the smallest ones he could find and once he succeeded he'd stay there for a very long time regardless of how uncomfortable he was.

    1. I specifically remember the first crocus last year. Can't wait.
Aji loves to get in boxes, but also chew on them. She nips off a piece and spits it out. She/s very serious about it, like it's her job.

  14. I'm sure spring must be coming your way soon Jen. It is distinctly autumn here now, so it's only fair that everything warms up on your side of the world soon.
    Thinking of you! xx
