(I won't complain, I won't complain, I won't complain...)
So what if it's cold and windy and my yard is still snow-covered?

I will read zen poetry,
meditate,
and savor flowers from distant lands.
This was just too very funny! Especially the thin box.
ReplyDeletesimple pleasures...
DeleteOh, this was precious! I'm convinced, if you want to be happy, you must own a cat.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!!!
You too!
DeleteJay and I watched most of the Maru videos. What an entertaining cat. Mine mostly sleep. Yours smell flowers.
ReplyDeleteMesmerizing, right?
DeleteHello Jen, The technical opening of spring may not coincide with beautiful weather in temperate areas, but at least one can officially start to anticipate the traditional delights of the season. Besides, the ideal maple sugaring weather depends on the slow onset of springlike warmth and sun.

I like your glass half full approach. Honestly? I really don't mind--as long as spring comes sometime this year.
DeleteWhat is it about cats and boxes? Loved the video.
ReplyDeleteAji loves boxes, maybe more than flowers.
DeleteSpring will come soon Jen! I am sure of it :-)!!! Daffodils are on its way :-)

Meanwhile, I'll enjoy your pretty garden.
DeleteI forgot about Maru and just watched about 1/2 hour worth of videos. He's so cute. But I have yet to see him taking time to smell the flowers like your little one does.
ReplyDeletePraying we don't get this storm they're talking about next week.
I was just reading something in Wyoming where it is winter six months of the year. Did you say storm. (Covering my ears.)
Deleteawww she is so lovely!
ReplyDeletesnow is almost gone from my area and sometimes it blows a wind that smells of spring. but she never really comes before May ;)
I love that smell of spring--you can smell it before you see it.
DeleteWe too wait for spring. And I'm pretty sure i live in the south.....way south of you anyway.
ReplyDeleteA gray Sunday morning with a chance of snow on Tuesday.
I don't know if I can do it.
Maybe I'll go shopping.....
I have always love Maru and have to marvel at how clean the floors are in his house.
Why I'll never show a video of my cats.

Didn't you hear? D.C. is now part of New England.
DeleteI saw a tiny crocus this morning, I almost cried. Cats and boxes are hysterical, mine used to try and get into the smallest ones he could find and once he succeeded he'd stay there for a very long time regardless of how uncomfortable he was.
ReplyDeleteI specifically remember the first crocus last year. Can't wait.
DeleteAji loves to get in boxes, but also chew on them. She nips off a piece and spits it out. She/s very serious about it, like it's her job.
Maru is always good for whatever ails me!! How do I get the reply option on my blog?
ReplyDeleteI'll email you.
Deletethat is too cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGotta love a Zen kitty and a Maru kitty! Very fun post.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it.
DeleteI'm sure spring must be coming your way soon Jen. It is distinctly autumn here now, so it's only fair that everything warms up on your side of the world soon.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you! xx
